This item was just what was needed. The laptop battery was dead and appeared not to hold a charge. I ordered an adapter previously that would only feed power to the laptop when plugged into an outlet. Each time the laptop was unplugged (i.e., to be moved to another room) we would get a startup error that the laptop was not shut down correctly. This item arrived Friday 6/12/09 and as soon as it arrived I tried it on my Inspiron 1505 and my son's 1501 and it did not charge either. I contacted these people on Friday and got one response that said they would gladly exchange or fully refund the product, but they need more information to make sure it wasn't a technical issue. I responded back and gave them all of the information they requested and here it is 2 days later and I have not gotten any response at all. At first I was willing to exchange, but now I don't want to deal with people that take your money and leave you hanging. I needed to get this issue resolved as soon as possible as my son is leaving out of town and will need to take our only working adapter.

I didn't know I can get one from Dell service for free before I bought it(My dell is still in service). It's not expensive and the quality is ok until now. It's a little heavier than the original dell cord and look coarse.
